"A bookie ring in Mayberry? Hogwash!! I thought of Carol Burnett when I saw Barney dressed up like an ole lady. Speaking of barbers, I always make them alcohol the scissors and use my comb when they cut my hair cause they use the same comb for years and years (I got a bad case of head lice from a barber once but never again)." - Jimmy from L A

"The funniest thing about this episode is that Barney, who is usually the first to panic and jump the gun, takes in the sight of the bookies going into the barber shop so calmly. Andy asks him if he finds it unusual and Barney just calmly replies "No...didn't you ever hear of a 'compelsion'?" lol..... Even funnier because in THIS case, some panic from Barney would've been justified, but naturally the ONE time he decides to overlook something it turns out to be legit. Poor Barney! Seems he's always destined to be wrong no matter what approach he takes!" - Chris from Hilton Head, SC

" If you were to read certain lines of dialogue from a comedy script, they wouldn't evoke a chuckle. Yet, when those lines are delivered by someone, such as the late underrated comedian/actor Howard McNear, they're hysterical. A two-chair shop, dare to dream. " - r.p. from virginia

"This episode had a few good humerous lines in it, but the episode in general was just okay. I'll tell ya, Barney did not look like an old lady." - Detective Barney Fife from Raleigh, NC
