"Good for Otis? What do you mean "good for Otis"? I say good for his wife who had to put up with that drunken old alcoholic fart every day! Imagine how many times she had to clean up all the vomit from that bum? I'm happy for his wife. Otis is a bum! I like Barney in this most of all. He's always getting the part where he thinks he's the best at everything. All people have a little "Barney" in them as we all like to be complimented and praised as much as possible." - Sally from San Diego

"I agree that this episode showed what a good actor Hal Smith was and that he was great in that last scene. I once either read or saw Hal Smith use this episode to explain the appeal of the show. He said he was watching this show with his little boy and after he gave that humble speech in this episode he noticed his son was crying. He asked him why and son could only say "I don't know" and Hal explained this was strength of the show in that it could even touch someone this young. I think Hal was also being modest in that his son was probably also proud of his dad and how touching he was in that scene." - Ken from New Jersey

"This episode gives us another of Barney's middle names, "Oliver". The others I believe, were "Milton", which was in his high school annual, and the other was "P", a middle initial found in one of his school books in another episode. This is another reason why people love this show. The trivia is endless." - Jim B from Corbin, KY

"Andy: I believe he spells his name P-H-Y-F-E and you spell yours F-I-F-E. Barney: Well, sooner or later somebody had to spell it right!" - J-Kay from Louisville, KY

"Pretty good episode especially in the begining when Barney is convinced that his ancestor is the hero explaining to Andy the history of his ancestry and all until the two old ladies mention Otis Campbell instead--- hilarious!" - Jimmy from L. A.
