"This was the last show that was filmed with Howard McNear as Floyd. He never returned to the set after the last scene was in the can. However, when the shows aired on TV, they do not actually put the shows in order they were filmed. So there was one or two shows with Floyd in them that aired after this episode." - Eric from Alabama

"Anytime you see any of those actors/actresses in any other show or movie, your first thought is-- hey-- there Floyd the Barber, or there's Howard Sprague, etc. In fact wasn't there an episode of St.Elsewhere that Jack Dodson was in and he was looking for Floyd the Barber ?? "I'm not sure which was Floyd last episode but this is touching. He's still funny even when you know the story of how he struggled in this one. It's sad when you think of how Floyd is getting another shop when the man is clearly not well in real life. Still, touching and funny. Howard and Floyd are good together, they're a fun mix to watch. Sad that they're both gone now. Good guys." - Ken from New Jersey

"All things must come to an end. I really enjoy the older shows with Barney, Floyd, Otis, Gomer, and little Opie the best because of the small town atmosphere I enjoyed as a kid while growing up in Kentucky at the same time when TAGS first aired. These color versions seem to have lost that small town feel of the previous episodes." - Jimmy from L. A.

"This was unfortunately the last episode that Howard McNear recorded. As quoted by Jack Dodson (Howard Sprague), "Sadly, it was during the playing of a scene with Howard that we realized he couldn't go on anymore. It was the segment where I wanted to raise the rent on the barbershop. Howard had a little difficulty with that segment. He couldn't remember it. He went over it and over it, frustrated with himself. Seeing his despair and anxiety was the most painful experience that I've ever had. And then he didn't come back after that." " - Doug from Las Vegas
